AirHMI displays come in 4.3", 5", 7" and 10.1" sizes. The resolution is 480 × 272 on the 4.3" model, 800 × 480 on the 5" and 7" models and 1024 × 600 pixels on the 10.1" model.
Resistive touch works by pressure; because it can be used with gloves and a stylus it is common on industrial panels. Capacitive touch responds to a light touch like a smartphone and is better suited to multi-touch. The capacitive option is available in the 7" and 10.1" sizes.
Elementary is the basic package with TTL (UART) communication and 16 MB of flash memory. The Advanced package adds 32 MB flash, a real-time clock (RTC), a built-in buzzer, 5 GPIO, 2 PWM and 1 ADC. The Industry package additionally offers 3 ADC, I2C, SPI and video and audio playback.
All models have TTL (UART) communication. RS485 (Modbus RTU) is optional; a display ordered with the RS485 option connects directly to PLCs and field devices.
The interface is designed with drag and drop in the free AIRHMI Designer software, and C-based code can be attached to component events. The project can be tested in the simulator on your computer before it is loaded onto the device.
Yes. The controller sends short text commands to the display over UART and screen events are reported back on the same line. The AIRDUINO library includes ready-made examples for Arduino, ESP32 and STM32.
